At the age of ten Paul returned home from a holiday in Spain as the proud owner of a souvenir present, a guitar. He started taking professional tuition whilst at Coopers School, Chislehurst before winning many awards and competitions. He furthered his studies with distinguished musicians Edward Moore and Raymond Burley whilst passing a music degree at Avery Hill College, Eltham. For many years he pursued a successful career as a classical guitarist giving concerts throughout Britain and making several recordings.

In 1997 Paul discovered the rewarding world of pre-school music and formed the Jolly Dinosaurs Music Club. Putting together a unique blend of traditional and modern songs, and writing much of his own material, he developed a wealth of musical activities in a format that has since helped thousands of children to find an enjoyment and love of music from their earliest years.
